So, one day you arrive at your business and then you are told that the inventory manager has not arrived. Your first reaction is that, “well i think we can manage the days without him”. Then the third day comes and the sales manager informs you of drop in the sales for the last two days. On checking the system, you discover that you have a number of items missing in your store. Probably you never used to care. Then one surprising thing, you discover, there was excessive order of certain goods categories and there is no cash left to purchase the missing stock
The above analogy is evidence that an inventory manager is indispensable in business.
