Those who understand the CCTV world smelt a rat long time ago. I was one of them!!

Knowledge is power. Appended to this statement is that: “A little knowledge is dangerous”.
Here is an extract from An Essay on Criticism, 1709 by Alexander Pope (1688 – 1744),:

“A little learning is a dangerous thing;
drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again

To those “wannabe CCTV Installers”….. CCTV Installation is not an observe and run, go do it too skill. It is not an induction knowledge either. It has to be learned in a sober environment with the right persons, tools and knowledge.

Poor skilling can end up being costly in this area especially when is deceived to believe that his/her system is working but crime is happening right in the full glare of “cameras”. It is worse than having no system at all as one would have to rely on a more proactive security measures.
